Billing software for grocery and kirana shops
Bill packaged and loose items quickly, keep stock accurate after every sale and purchase, and know who owes you money.
At the counter
- Scan barcodes or search by name; sell loose items like rice or dal by weight (up to 3 decimals).
- Split one bill across cash, UPI and card; give line or bill discounts in ₹ or %.
- Hold a bill for one customer while serving the next, then resume it.
- Print on thermal (58/80 mm) or A4 paper, or save as PDF.
Stock and purchases
- Every sale, purchase, return and wastage updates stock through one recorded ledger.
- Receive supplier purchases, track what you owe each supplier, and see low-stock items on the dashboard.
- Weighted average cost keeps your profit figures honest when purchase prices change.
Udhaar and cash
- Record credit sales against a customer with a credit limit, and collect payments later.
- Close the cash drawer each day and see the difference between expected and counted cash.
Questions
- Can I print GST invoices?
- If your shop is GST-registered, bills are titled “Tax Invoice” and show GST per item from your tax settings. Shops that are not registered get a plain bill with no tax. ShopPilot is not a certified GST filing system; check with your accountant.
- Do I need special hardware?
- No. ShopPilot runs in the browser on a laptop, desktop or tablet. USB barcode scanners that type like a keyboard and most receipt printers work through the browser’s print dialog.
- Does it work without internet?
- Not yet. ShopPilot is online-first: it shows a clear warning when the connection drops and never marks a bill as paid unless the server confirmed it. Offline billing is planned but not available.
- Is my data shared with anyone?
- No. Each shop’s data is kept separate and only your staff can see it. We never sell merchant or customer data, and advertising never uses your sales or customers.
